Hong Sik Hur, CEO
Mr. Hur is President and Chief Executive Officer with 30 years of banking experience. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Hur was Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer od First Standard Bank, a Korean-American bank in Los Angeles, California. In 2005, he was one of the key executives who started First Standard and regularly participated in the meetings of the Board of Directors. First Standard accumulated over $100 million in assets within the first six months of launching the bank's operations. Previously, Mr. Hur was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Center Financial Corporation, one of the largest Korean-American banks in the United States. One of his many responsibilities at Center Financial was the establishment of seven full-service branch in Chicago, Illinois, As well as loan-production offices in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, Washington and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Center Financial in 1997, Mr. Hur was Vice President at Citibank, N.A. in South Korea, where he began his career in 1977. In 1982, he became branch manager in Pusan, South Korea. From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Hur was Branch Banking Director and Pusan Area Director of Citibank Korea. His accomplishments include developing Citibank's nonresident Korean business in New York. Mr. Hur received a bachelor's degree from Sung Kyun Kwan University and a Master in International Trade Finance from Pusan National University.
Frank J. Gleeson, CFO
Mr. Gleeson is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Gleeson has over 20 years of experience in managing bank financial operations. A native to the state of New Jersey, Mr. Gleeson has served as Chief Financial officer and Chief Operating Officer at a number of community banks in New Jersey, including Ocean City Home Bank, Marine View Federal Savings Bank, Action Savings Bank and Federal Credit Union at the Federal Aviation Administration Technical Center. Previously, Mr. Gleeson served as Chief Financial Officer at Mariner's Bank located in Edgewater, New Jersey. He is a former senior examiner with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, where he was responsible for performing regulatory examinations of New Jersey state-chartered saving banks. Mr. Gleeson holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Finance from Monmouth University.
James S. Ryu, COO
Mr. Ryu is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of BankAsiana. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Ryu served as Senior Administrator and Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of Center Financial Corporation, one of the largest Korea-American banks in the United States. During his tenure at Center Financial, he was responsible for all administrative matters, as well as regulatory details and coordination of investor relations among other things. Mr. Ryu received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a degree in banking from Pacific Coast Banking School. Mr. Ryu is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager by the Institution of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association.
